About Lunio

Evidence-based sleep support built around your specific child — available tonight, in nine languages, without a waiting list.

The sleep science exists. Most parents never see it.

The research on infant and toddler sleep is well established. Sleep associations, wake windows, the 45-minute cycle, the extinction burst on Night 3 — these are documented, peer-reviewed, and consistently supported across decades of study.

Most parents never encounter any of it clearly. What they get instead is generic advice that does not account for their specific child, their specific schedule, or where they are in the process right now. Or they get a waiting list for a sleep consultant that stretches three weeks into the future, at a price that assumes a level of access most families do not have.

Lunio was built to close that gap.

A sleep platform built around your specific child

Lunio offers two things.

The Pack is a personalised seven-night sleep reset. Parents answer five questions about their child and receive a routine and plan built around that specific child's age, wake windows, and current pattern. Not a template. Not a generic guide. A plan for them.

Nora Live is a virtual sleep consultation available the same night. Nora is an AI-enabled sleep consultant who conducts a real 25-minute voice session — asking the questions a trained specialist would ask, identifying exactly what broke down, and delivering a personalised five-night plan. Then she stays. For five nights after the consultation Nora is available by chat, so parents are not alone on Night 3 when everything feels like it is failing. That is the night it is actually working.

No app to download. No waiting list. Available tonight, in nine languages, at a fraction of the cost of a traditional sleep consultant.

Built by a parent who has been there

Boris, his wife and the daughter who started it all

Lunio was founded by Boris, a parent whose daughter did not sleep.

Not the kind of not sleeping that resolves in a few weeks. The kind that goes on for months. The kind where you and your partner stop being kind to each other because you are both running on nothing and there is nothing left to give. The kind where you try everything — earlier bedtime, later bedtime, white noise, no noise, more feeding, less feeding — and none of it sticks because none of it was built for your specific child.

Boris and his wife went through it. They tried the generic advice. They read the books. They googled at 3am. Some things helped briefly. Nothing solved it.

What eventually worked was understanding the actual mechanism — why their daughter woke every 45 minutes, what her brain was looking for at that moment, and what specifically needed to change in the settling sequence for that to stop. Once they understood the why, the what became straightforward.

That experience is what Lunio is built on. Not a theory. Not a product looking for a problem. A real situation that took too long to resolve because the right information was not available in a clear and specific enough form.

The platform draws on AASM safe sleep guidelines, AAP recommendations, and peer-reviewed longitudinal research including the Mindell et al. 17-country cohort study covering 29,000 children, and the Richter et al. six-year parental sleep deprivation study tracking 4,500 families.

Evidence-based, parent-led, without judgment

Lunio does not recommend cry-it-out. The approach is gentle and parent-led throughout.

What it does insist on: specificity. A plan built around this child, this age, this pattern, this family's capacity. Generic sleep advice fails most families not because it is wrong in principle but because it was not written for them. Lunio's entire design is built around the opposite assumption — that the specific details are what make the difference, and that parents who understand why a plan works are far more likely to hold through the hardest nights than parents following instructions they do not understand.

The research on this is clear. Night 3 is when most parents give up. It is also when the reset is working. Parents who know that before Night 1 make it through. Parents who do not, often do not.

The science behind the platform

Every claim Lunio makes is sourced. Our sleep research page contains the full citation graph — nine peer-reviewed studies, all DOIs verified, plus the ResMed parent sleep report covering 68,366 parents across six countries.

The research covers: parental sleep deprivation and its effects on cognition, relationships and physical health; infant sleep association formation and resolution; the 45-minute sleep cycle; the extinction burst mechanism; REM sleep in infants and its role in brain development; and the long-term effects of infant sleep quality on child development outcomes.

If you are a journalist, researcher, or publication looking for a sourced perspective on infant or toddler sleep, the research page is the starting point.
